Durham University Sub Aqua Society

Durham University Sub Aqua Society is Durham University's very own dive centre — a PADI Dive Center based in Durham, United Kingdom, staffed by a PADI Instructor and welcoming divers in English.

Courses and community

As a student-run club, it's built around learning and shared adventure. The centre offers PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Freediving, PADI Mermaid, PADI Snorkelling, and PADI First Aid (EFR) training, covering everyone from first-timers curious about the water to those keen to develop new skills beneath the surface.

Beyond tuition, you'll find air fills, equipment sales, and scuba and freediving equipment rental, along with conservation activities and travel — making it a natural home for the university's dive club. Doors are open every day from 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
