Flora Bay Divers

Tucked into a waterfront spot on Perhentian Island, off Malaysia's northeastern coast, Flora Bay Divers is a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort with a team of four PADI instructors. The Perhentians sit roughly 20km off Kuala Besut and form the northernmost part of Terengganu Marine Park, surrounded by warm, crystal-clear water full of brilliantly coloured tropical fish and coral reefs — an idyllic, laid-back base for diving and snorkelling.

Diving and courses

The centre offers PADI Scuba Diving courses alongside conservation programmes and PADI First Aid (EFR) training, with instruction available in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. Air fills, nitrox, equipment sales and a full range of rental gear — including children's sizes — round out the services, and a house reef makes it easy to get straight into the water.

Local dive sites include Shark Point, Batu Nisan Rock, Batu Nisan, D'Lagoon, Serenggeh, Batu Layar, Terembu Tiga and the San Choi Wreck. Divers can expect a rich mix of marine life, from sharks, turtles and ocean fish to eels, molluscs, crustaceans, corals and anemones. With an onsite classroom, free Wi-Fi, dive boat, accommodation and food and drinks, it suits everyone from first-timers to returning divers.
