Hotel Kalura

Set in Palermo, Italy, the dive centre at Hotel Kalura opens straight onto something rare: an ancient Roman port lying just offshore. This protected archaeological zone is one of the centre's main diving spots — a place where crystal-clear water keeps its old secrets, and history and diving meet on the same breath.

Courses and diving for every level

Whether you're an experienced diver or just starting out, the centre has a way in. It runs guided dives at the most evocative sites, snorkelling to explore marine life near the surface, and PADI courses from beginner level up to advanced certifications. As a PADI Resort with a PADI Instructor on hand, it's set up to help you learn or sharpen your skills.

Divers can explore local sites including Campanari, the Ancient Roman Harbour, Mystic shoals and Scoglio rosso, with a house reef right on the doorstep. An onsite training pool and classroom support your learning, and the team works in English, Spanish and Italian — an easy fit for history lovers and underwater explorers alike.
