Il Faro Azzurro

Tucked into Desenzano del Garda on the shores of Lake Garda, Il Faro Azzurro is a PADI 5 Star IDC training center built for divers at every stage — from complete beginners taking their first breaths underwater all the way to those training to become PADI instructors. With six PADI instructors on the team, it's a place geared toward genuine skill-building rather than a single passing course.

Courses and diving

The center runs its training mainly at the municipal swimming pool of Desenzano del Garda before heading out for training dives in Lake Garda, with the Open Water Diver course (around 3 hours) a natural starting point. Beyond the lake, the team also organizes sea outings, underwater trips, and environmental initiatives for members, reflecting a strong conservation streak.

Facilities include an onsite training pool and classroom, while Nitrox, equipment sales, and full scuba rental keep things practical. Marine life encountered ranges from ocean fish and eels to molluscs and crustaceans. Instruction is offered in Italian — well suited to local divers serious about progressing.
