Jamanta Dive Center

Operating from its own private pier in Angra dos Reis, Brazil, Jamanta Dive Center has been running diving operations since 1978. With a fleet of three boats, the team dives daily across the Bay of Angra and Ilha Grande, offering day and night dives, boat and catamaran outings, and a relaxed, personalised welcome backed by decades of local experience.

Courses and what to expect

As a PADI Dive Center with 5 PADI instructors, Jamanta caters to every level. Discover Scuba try-dives and PADI Scuba Diving courses sit alongside PADI Freediving, Snorkelling, First Aid (EFR), and Adaptive Diving, plus freediving equipment rental and air fills. An on-site training pool and classroom make learning comfortable, and staff speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Underwater, divers may encounter ocean fish, turtles, eels, echinoderms, sharks and rays, and other marine life. On land, facilities include air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, on-site accommodation, food and drinks, and parking — a tidy base for anyone exploring the waters around Ilha Grande.
