La Perla Nera Diving

Founded in 1999, La Perla Nera Diving in Ustica, Italy, holds the distinction of being the island's first PADI Instructor Development Center. Today it operates as a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, led by founder and owner Roberto, a PADI Course Director who is always on hand to offer personalized professional training alongside his team of nine PADI Instructors.

Courses for every level

With 12 courses and activities on offer, the center guides divers from their very first breaths underwater through to professional and technical training. You can start with PADI Open Water Diver, build confidence with Advanced Open Water and Deep Diver, or venture further into Cavern Diver, Enriched Air, and Digital Underwater Photographer. Several courses run in the Ustica marine park across three days and six dives, or four days and eight dives.

Set in the heart of the village, the center is rebreather and tech-friendly, with a dedicated classroom, a wide rental range, and a filling station offering Nitrox blends from 22% to 50%. A DAN training center and WWF Sub partner, it welcomes divers and non-divers alike in three languages, true to its motto: "Arrive as clients, leave as friends."
