Narwhal Tatuape

Founded in 1984, Narwhal is Brazil's largest dive shop and dive school, having trained more than 25,000 students across four locations — three in São Paulo and one in Ilhabela. This São Paulo unit is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center staffed by 8 PADI instructors, teaching in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Courses and diving

Whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or building toward advanced skills, Narwhal runs the full PADI pathway: Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 100), the Enriched Air Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver specialties, and the Open Water Diver Course. Air fills, Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas are all available on site, alongside equipment sales and rental for scuba, freediving and travel.

An onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a dive boat round out the setup. Divers here may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. With decades of experience and a specialised team, Narwhal suits everyone from curious beginners to certified divers looking to keep learning.
