Nautica

Tucked inside the port of Santa Maria Navarrese, Nautica Diving Center is the closest base for reaching the sheer cliffs of the eastern coast of Ogliastra. The diving here ranks among the most striking underwater scenery in the Mediterranean — colourful, full of life, and framed by some of the most fascinating limestone caves in all of Sardinia, with sites accessible to divers of every level.

What you'll explore

Local dive sites include the isolotti dell'Ogliastra, Cala Magroni with its canyon and Grotta della Sorgente, and Portu Pedrosu's Sifone. A few miles of navigation away lies the wreck of the cargo ship Levante, which sank in 1963 within the bay of Portu Cuau. Sites sit at varying depths and suit all certification levels, including beginners.

A PADI Resort staffed by 3 PADI instructors, Nautica runs courses from the PADI Open Water Diver Course to Advanced Open Water, Night Diver and Peak Performance Buoyancy, alongside Half-Day Dive Trips and Dive Against Debris. With English, French and Italian spoken, it's a welcoming fit for newcomers and certified divers alike.
