About Nautilus Explorer

Based in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Nautilus Explorer opens the door to two of the region's most extraordinary diving grounds: the Socorro Islands and the Sea of Cortez. As a PADI dive operation, it caters to divers chasing remarkable encounters — from swimming alongside Giant Mantas to coming face-to-face with Great White Sharks from specially designed cages.

Courses and diving

Nautilus Explorer offers PADI scuba diving and supports enriched air (Nitrox) for divers looking to extend their time below the surface. With both English and Spanish spoken on board, it's an accessible choice for a broad mix of guests.

Practical touches keep dives running smoothly, including warm-water showers, a battery charging station, and a selection of fish ID and diving books for brushing up between sessions. It suits adventurous divers drawn to big-animal encounters and the wild waters around the Socorro Islands and the Sea of Cortez.

Excellent week of new friends, diving, and a well-run boat. The Socorro Islands and National Park was full of life and seemed very balanced and natural. I highly recommend this trip and dive company.
