Ocean Dive

Ocean Dive is a PADI Dive Center on Zanzibar, Tanzania, sitting just off the main road between Matemwe and Muyuni Road — about a two-minute walk from the Matemwe roundabout, marked by a green road sign and the centre's name written on its wall. With two PADI Instructors guiding in English, it's a welcoming base for divers exploring the island's waters.

Courses and what to expect

The full PADI pathway is on offer here, from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and the ReActivate refresher to the Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver Course and Advanced Open Water Diver. Open Water Referral options covering theory, pool and open-water dives round out the line-up, making the centre a fit for first-timers, returning divers and those building qualifications alike.

Beneath the surface, divers may encounter sharks and rays, turtles, ocean fish, eels and echinoderms, molluscs and crustaceans, corals, anemones and more. On land, the centre keeps things easy with an onsite classroom, free Wi-Fi, parking and air fills, plus involvement in conservation activities.
