Oceano Sub

Oceano Sub brings a fresh, personalised approach to diving in Ilhabela, Brazil. Billed as the first scuba diving school in Brazil specialised in private lessons, it pairs a Personal Instructor with small groups for differentiated, quality teaching — wherever its students happen to be. Behind the concept is a team of highly qualified professionals, many trained in fields such as Oceanography and Biology, who care as much about preserving marine ecosystems as they do about good diving.

Courses and local diving

As a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, Oceano Sub runs courses across every level, from Basic right through to Divemaster, alongside specialties including Deep Diver, Night Diving and Marine Ecology. The waters here host an impressive cast of marine life — sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans, corals, anemones and more.

The centre backs its teaching with a complete structure: an onsite training pool and classroom, its own car and dive boat, plus new equipment kept to a maximum of one year of use. With staff speaking English, Spanish and Portuguese, it suits travelling divers who want attentive, small-group instruction and a genuine focus on the ocean.
