About Old Harbour Dive Centre
At Old Harbour Dive Centre, a friendly, expert team is on hand to help with every diving requirement. Established over 25 years, it stands as the only one-stop dive centre in Dorset, welcoming new and experienced divers alike. As a PADI 5 Star IDC with 5 PADI instructors, it caters for everyone from first-timers taking their opening sea dives to technical divers heading below 40 metres.
Courses and local diving
Courses span PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Snorkelling, Conservation and PADI First Aid (EFR), so there's a clear path whatever your level. Weymouth is renowned for its wealth of marine life and its numerous wrecks — some 120 within a 20 mile radius — drawing divers from all parts of the UK.
Thanks to the sheltered location of Portland Harbour, diving is possible all year round, with conditions outside the harbour at their best from April through to September. Nearby dive sites include Chesil Beach, Portland and Durdle Door, making this a natural base for anyone keen to explore the water in every season.

★ 4 · Anthony Willis · 2011-06-13I am not a diver, I just require a small air cylinder filled for competition air rifles. I have received an email to say that this can be done. I found that the friendly environment of the centre coupled with its dedication and openness to the sport it supports very worthy of a comment on this site.
