One Ocean Zanzibar

One Ocean Zanzibar holds the distinction of being Zanzibar's first and most reputable PADI 5-Star dive center, operating from three locations across the island: Stone Town, Matemwe, and Kendwa. From Kendwa, a traditional dhow boat heads out for daily trips exploring Tumbatu Island and Nungwi's reefs, where you'll find some of Zanzibar's best corals, schools of fish, nudibranchs, and other unique macro life. If you're lucky, turtles and stingrays make an appearance too.

Courses and dive sites

With 5 PADI Instructors on staff, One Ocean runs a full course line-up in Kendwa: PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 200, the PADI Scuba Diver Course from USD 400, and both the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses from USD 550. An onsite training pool and classroom make it a natural fit for first-timers and those building their certifications.

Local dive sites include Shetani, Hunga, Kichafi, Leven Bank, and shane's reef, with marine life ranging from sharks and turtles to ocean fish. The waterfront base offers Wi-Fi, equipment rental, and a team speaking English, French, and Italian.
