For more than 20 years, Pelagos D.C. Lampedusa has been the historic diving centre of this Italian island. A PADI 5 Star Dive Center with 4 PADI Instructors, it runs trips out of a 9 m dinghy powered by two 150 hp engines and a comfortable 12 m wooden pilot boat, backed by a BAUER compressor — a set-up built for reaching Lampedusa, Lampione and Linosa.

Divers here explore sites such as Lampione, Linosa, Capo Grecale Nord, Taccio Vecchio, Punta Cappellone and La Madonnina, where sharks, whales, turtles, rays and ocean fish share the water. Courses and activities span the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience (from USD 107), the Linosa Dive Trip and the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

With equipment rental — including rebreather (CCR) and scooter (DPV) — plus kids' gear and a dive club, and staff speaking English and Italian, the centre suits first-timers and seasoned divers alike.
