Pelagos Dive Centre

Operating since 1987, Pelagos Dive Centre sits at the end of Minos Beach art hotel in Agios Nikolaos, Greece. It keeps its own entrance, and all divers staying in the area are welcome to use the facilities. Open from April to November, the centre enjoys tideless, calm, clear and warm water, so dives here aren't spoilt by currents, dangerous marine life or poor visibility.

Courses and what it's known for

A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with five PADI Instructors, Pelagos offers all PADI courses up to Divemaster level in a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. First-timers can try diving at the unique "House reef" in the small bay out front, where swimming-pool conditions meet aquarium-like marine life. With instructors carrying more than 25 years of teaching experience and a long history of teaching children from 8 years old, it suits beginners and families alike.

Local dive sites include Krikri, "The anchor," Pleora Point, "The Wall," "Kamini" and the "Mantigo wreck." Facilities cover an onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, parking and a dive boat, with air fills, Nitrox, and scuba and kids' equipment rental. Staff speak English, Spanish, French and Greek.
