Perhentian Island Divers

Tucked onto a white sandy beach at the Perhentian Island Resort on Pulau Perhentian Besar, Perhentian Island Divers is the longest-running dive shop on the islands — and, after a recent rebuild, one of the most modern. The team is a small, fun-loving group of experienced PADI professionals, fluent across English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Thai, who'll happily welcome you in for a chat and an endless supply of tea and coffee.

Diving the Perhentian Islands

The Perhentian Island National Marine Park suits both novice and expert divers, with more than 15 regularly used dive sites just 15 to 20 minutes away by canopied speedboat. An extensive range of PADI courses starts daily, and children as young as 8 can join in the fun.

On site you'll find an air-conditioned classroom, a house reef, a retail shop, free Wi-Fi, accommodation and food and drinks. Services include air fills, scuba and kids' equipment rental, EFR first aid, snorkelling and conservation activities — with safety and logistics handled by two PADI instructors so you can simply relax and enjoy the diving.
