Plymouth Diving Centre

Based on the waterfront in Plymouth, this PADI 5 Star IDC Resort runs courses across the entire training ladder — from PADI Open Water Diver right through to PADI Instructor Training, and on into PADI TecRec technical diving and beyond. With 11 PADI Instructors on the team, plus PADI Freediving and EFR First Aid on the books, there's a clear path here whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or stepping up to teach.

Local diving and what to expect

The centre dives all year round, exploring sites along the coast including the wreck of the James Egan Layne and HMS Scylla. An on-site classroom, retail shop, equipment sales and rental (including kids' kit), a dive boat and free Wi-Fi round out the waterfront facilities, with parking on hand.

An active, friendly dive club sits at the heart of it all — members get discounted diving, and solo divers are happily paired with a buddy. Staff speak English, Spanish and Italian, making it a welcoming fit for newcomers, club regulars and aspiring pros alike.
