Scuba Libre

Scuba Libre began its adventure in 1998 with a first dive shop in Playa del Carmen. Its success led to a second base in 2000 within the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, adding fishing trips and water sports, and a third at the Sandos Playacar Resort in 2012. All three shops sit right on the beach, offering diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking and much more.

Courses and dive sites

A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 8 PADI Instructors, Scuba Libre runs the full path from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver to ocean and cavern outings. Explore reef sites like Pared Verde, Los Arcos, Cerebros and Tortugas, or head underground to cenotes such as Angelita, The Pit, Dos Ojos and Chak Mol. There's even a Cozumel express dive trip.

Divers here may cross paths with sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. With an onsite training pool and classroom, waterfront location, dive boat, retail shop and staff speaking English and Spanish, it suits everyone from first-timers to certified divers chasing Riviera Maya's reefs and cenotes.
