Scuba Maroma

Set within Maroma Adventures — an activity centre and beach club on one of the Riviera Maya's most celebrated beaches — Scuba Maroma is a PADI Resort dive centre in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. With a waterfront setting and its own house reef, it's a relaxed base for getting into the water and learning to dive right where the action is.

Courses and diving

Two PADI Instructors run a compact course line-up built for newcomers. The PADI Scuba Diver course takes roughly 2 days, while the fuller PADI Open Water Diver Course runs about 3 days for those ready to earn a complete entry-level certification.

Local diving centres on the sites of Los Arcos and Cerebros, where you might encounter sharks, turtles, rays, eels, ocean fish, corals, molluscs and crustaceans. On-site you'll find free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, a dive boat, parking, and equipment rental including kids' gear. Staff speak English and Spanish, making it a welcoming pick for beginners and travelling divers alike.
