Scuba-Naut Dive Centre

Set in the secluded bay of Salang village on the north-west coast of Tioman Island, Malaysia, Scuba-Naut Dive Centre has been welcoming divers since 2000. A PADI 5 Star Dive Center with four PADI instructors, it pairs new equipment and a dedicated dive boat with a youthful, sociable village known for its budget hotels, beachside restaurants and lively nightlife.

As the closest village to many of Tioman's reefs and wrecks, Salang puts a wealth of sites within easy reach. Drift through Fan Canyon, explore the KM Sipadan Wreck and Soyak Island, or take in Chebeh Island, Labas Island, Pulau Renggis and Batu Malang — there's even a house reef on the doorstep.

The centre offers PADI Scuba Diving and Snorkelling courses, PADI First Aid (EFR), and conservation activities, with air fills, Nitrox and full equipment rental, including children's sizes. On-site facilities include a classroom, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, accommodation and food and drinks. English and Malay are spoken, with other languages on request — a friendly fit for travellers of all levels.
