Scuba York

Scuba York holds a distinctive claim as the city's only 100% PADI dive school, tucked right in the centre of York. With four PADI instructors on the team, professional training here comes wrapped in excellent facilities and the kind of friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes learning feel effortless.

What sets it apart

As a full PADI Dive Center, Scuba York is built for the journey — whether you're taking your very first breath underwater or continuing an adventure already underway. An onsite training pool means you can develop skills in comfort, while air fills, equipment sales, and a full range of scuba rental gear keep you supported at every stage. There's also a dive club, conservation activities, and first aid training on offer.

For open water, members head to St Abbs, a natural fit for divers based in this corner of the United Kingdom. With English-speaking staff and a genuine passion for the sport, Scuba York suits complete beginners and returning divers alike who want to share in the quiet, exhilarating pull of the aquatic world.
