ScubaCaribe Playa del Carmen Mexico

Based at the Riu Hotel and Resort in Playa del Carmen, ScubaCaribe is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort and part of a network spanning 10 countries. With 11 PADI Instructors on the team, it welcomes everyone from first-timers taking their first breaths underwater to divers building toward advanced certifications.

Courses and dive sites

The lineup runs from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI Open Water Diver course through to guided outings like the Two dives trip, the 6-dive package, and the Mexico Great Explorer and Mexico Explorer packages. Cenote lovers can head out on the Cenotes Double Tank or the Mini Cenotes program to explore the region's flooded caverns.

Local dives take in sites such as Jardines, Shangrila, Chun Zumbul, Tortugas, Barracuda, Mama Viña, and the standout BULLSHARK SITE, where bull shark season runs November to March. An onsite training pool and air fills round out the facilities, and the multilingual team works in English, Spanish, French, and German — a welcoming base for divers of every level.
