Set on the Península do Sol in São José da Barra, Capitólio, ScubaMinas is a PADI Resort dive school and operator built around quality and safety for divers of every level. The team's personalised, hands-on instruction guides each student from recreational diving all the way through to advanced technical diving, helping you earn your certification and explore underwater with confidence.

Courses, gas and facilities

Led by 1 PADI instructor, the centre supports a wide range of training thanks to gas options including Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas, plus air fills and full scuba equipment rental. On site you'll find a training pool, classroom, free Wi-Fi, a dive boat, accommodation, food and drinks, and parking.

It suits beginners taking their first breaths underwater as well as experienced divers pursuing technical goals, with marine life in the region including sharks, whales and turtles. Instruction is offered in Portuguese.
