Spearmex

Set on the waterfront at Punta Mita near Puerto Vallarta, Spearmex pairs experienced instruction with comfort to open up some of Mexico's most renowned pelagic waters. Its academy sits at one of the planet's most recognised marine hunting sites, where the team's mission is to pass on a passion for diving to divers of every level — from serious enthusiasts to families looking for ocean fun.

Courses and dive sites

As a PADI Dive Center with two PADI Instructors, Spearmex offers six courses and activities. Newcomers can start with the PADI Scuba Diver or step up to the three-day PADI Open Water Diver Course, while full-day boat trips run to El Banco, El Morro and La Coberteña. Below the surface you may encounter sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, eels, echinoderms, molluscs, crustaceans, corals, anemones and jellyfish.

The centre has an onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, dive boat and parking, with English and Spanish both spoken — a well-rounded base for divers exploring these waters.
