Spiro Sub Diving Center

On the Italian island of Elba, Spiro Sub Diving Center is a PADI Dive Center staffed by three PADI Instructors, welcoming everyone from first-timers to seasoned divers in the Mediterranean Sea. Diving without a buddy? They'll pair you with one. Experienced divers can take a dive-site briefing and explore on their own alongside another diver, while anyone who prefers company can head out with one of the center's guides.

Courses and diving

Learn the fundamentals with the PADI Open Water Diver Course (from USD 616, around 5 days), or build on your skills through the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (from USD 580, around 5 days). Local dive sites include Sasso Che Bara, La Triglia, Cape Morcone, Capo Fonza and Corbella, with night dives run at the easy-going Secca di Fonza. Two-tank trips also visit the protected area at Pianosa, and marine life here spans sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish.

Full equipment rental, a Bauer K15 filling station and a waterfront location round out the offering, making it a friendly, flexible base for divers of every level.
