Sunnyreef Paradise

Welcome to Sunnyreef Paradise, a PADI Dive Centre set in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. With a team of two PADI instructors and five languages spoken — English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Chinese — this waterfront centre makes a welcoming gateway to underwater exploration for both first-timers and seasoned divers.

Courses and what to expect

The centre runs a full range of PADI training, from the PADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications through to the PADI Rescue Diver course. Divers can also build skills with focused programmes like PADI Adventure Diver, Underwater Navigator, Underwater Photographer and Fish Identification, or ease back in with a PADI ReActivate Scuba Refresher. Prices start from USD 274.

Closer to home, divers explore local sites including the Mari Mari house reef and Peaceful Garden, where you may encounter turtles, sharks and rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans among the corals and ocean fish. On-site facilities include a classroom, retail shop, dive boat, Wi-Fi and food and drinks — everything needed for a comfortable day in the water.
