Swimiss Academy

Tucked into Bandar Saujana Putra in Selangor, Malaysia, Swimiss Academy is a PADI Freediver Center whose specialty is exactly that — freediving. Based in the Kuala Lumpur area, the team is highly active on social media (find them at swimiss.academy), sharing updates from every activity they run.

What it's known for

The instructors specialise in teaching equalization technique, including valsalva, frenzel and mouthfill — the foundational skills that let freedivers descend comfortably. Alongside PADI Freediving courses, the academy also offers PADI First Aid (EFR) training, so students can build both in-water confidence and essential safety knowledge.

An onsite training pool and classroom mean you can learn the theory and practise breath-hold skills in one place, with air conditioning and a retail shop on site. Freediving equipment rental is available, which suits newcomers who aren't ready to invest in their own gear yet.
