Takata Experience

Takata Experience is a PADI 5 Star IDC Center and Research Center in Mahahual, Mexico, established in 2016 by a team of divers, scientists, filmmakers and adventurers. It's a place built for people who want to explore the underwater world while taking part in environmental projects — diving with a conscience, in a way that connects you to your surroundings and gives back to the local community.

Courses and diving

With 3 PADI Instructors on staff, the center offers courses from Open Water to Divemaster and Instructor Development, alongside Marine Ecology Courses and dive packages to suit every need. The PADI Open Water Diver course starts from USD 419 over roughly 3 days, while the PADI Enriched Air Diver course runs from USD 162 in about a day.

Set in a waterfront location with an onsite classroom, dive boat, onsite accommodation, free Wi-Fi and parking, Takata is well suited to divers of every level. Waters here are home to sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, molluscs, corals and more, and the team welcomes guests in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
