Thalassa Diving Center Chalkis

Founded in 1999 in Chalkida, Thalassa Diving Academy is a PADI 5 Star IDC dive center built on a genuine love and respect for the underwater world — and for its students. Its team teaches year-round, with a focus on passing on knowledge in a safe, fun environment suited to divers of every level.

Courses and local waters

The academy offers scuba, freediving and mermaid courses alongside professional and instructor training, First Aid/EFR and conservation programmes. With deep knowledge of the underwater morphology of Evia, the instructors know exactly where to take you for a good time in the water — and divers here may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish.

Students train in a dedicated pool for confined-water dives, then head out aboard the center's rib boats to the best local spots. The waterfront base includes a 220 m² retail store stocked with leading brands, a large parking area, an onsite classroom and top-quality, daily-disinfected equipment. Having trained over 4000 students with a zero-accident record, Thalassa suits everyone from first-timers to aspiring professionals.
