The Dive Gurus

The Dive Gurus is La Paz's only PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center, offering scuba training that spans the full range from first breaths to Instructor level and technical diving. Groups stay small — just 4 to 6 divers per boat — and Nitrox is included on every guided dive and course, a combination that keeps the experience personal and the bottom time generous.

Courses and local dive sites

Divers can begin with the PADI Open Water Diver course and build through the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Deep Diver and Enriched Air Diver programs, with a ReActivate refresher for those returning to the blue. Beyond PADI, the center works with DAN, IANTD and TDI, and supports film crews, scientists and CCR divers.

The waters around La Paz include Los Islotes and its sea lion colony, El Bajo Seamounts, La Reina, the Salvatierra Ferry Wreck and the Whale Shark Refuge Waters — home to sharks, whales, turtles and rays. With three languages spoken and a PADI Eco Award through Green Fins, The Dive Gurus suits adventurous souls and creative minds alike.
