The Diving Centre Ltd

For over 35 years, The Diving Centre Ltd has been a cornerstone of diving in North East England. Based in East Boldon near Newcastle upon Tyne, this PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre backs its 12 PADI Instructors with an on-site training pool, classroom, retail shop and service centre — everything under one roof for divers taking their first breath underwater or building toward the next certification.

Courses and local diving

New divers arrive every week, and the course path is clear: start with PADI Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 69, around 3 hours), progress to Open Water Diver, then continue with Advanced Open Water Diver. Training is delivered in English by an experienced professional team.

The surrounding coast offers spectacular diving, with regular trips to sites such as St Abbs Marine Park, the Farne Islands, Beadnell Bay Ladyhole, Knacker Hole, Brown Bay and Capernwray. Divers here encounter marine life including sharks, whales, turtles, freshwater fish, molluscs and crustaceans. With equipment sales, scuba rental, air fills, Nitrox and a dive club, it's a welcoming home base for anyone learning to explore the underwater realm.
