The Reef Marina

The Reef Marina is a PADI 5 Star IDC dive and water-sports centre set within The Reef Coco Beach Resort & SPA, in the main hotel zone of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. As a PADI 5 Star IDC Center, it offers the professionalism, reliability and security that divers look for, with English and Spanish spoken on site.

Reefs, walls and cenotes

The diving here suits everyone, from first-timers to certified divers. Just minutes by boat, the reefs of Playa del Carmen open up to drift, wreck, deep and night diving, with Caribbean reef fish, sponges, sea fans, turtles, moray eels and rays. Trips also reach Cozumel — Mexico's largest island at 64 km long and 16 km wide — where iconic walls such as Palancar, Santa Rosa, Colombia, San Francisco, Yucab and Paraíso reward gentle drift dives. For something unique, the Yucatán Peninsula's cenotes offer an unforgettable freshwater experience.

Beyond scuba, the centre runs a Snorkelling Trip on Turtle Reef, a roughly two-hour outing from USD 39 — an easy way to meet the Caribbean's marine life near the surface.
