Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology

Set on the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand, Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is a PADI Dive Center with a distinctive purpose: diver training woven directly into tertiary study. Here you can learn to dive or work all the way up to becoming a PADI Professional while completing a degree in one of the institute's Marine Biology or Marine Strand programs. It's worth noting that PADI training is offered to enrolled students rather than the general public.

Courses and facilities

A team of 3 PADI Instructors guides students through their diving education, supported by an onsite training pool and a dedicated classroom for theory sessions. The centre keeps its own dive boat and offers air fills, with parking and air conditioning adding to the comfort of the campus setup. Instruction is delivered in English.
