Up Salento Diving

Up Salento Diving is a young, energetic PADI Resort in Otranto, Italy, born in 2019 from a simple desire: to share a passion for the sea with as many people as possible. With two PADI Instructors guiding the way, this is a center where diving genuinely isn't treated like work — and that enthusiasm carries into every excursion.

Courses and dive sites

Whether you're taking your very first breaths underwater or building on existing skills, there's a clear path here. Try a PADI Discover Scuba Diving session in around three hours, or commit to the four-day PADI Open Water Diver Course and the three-day Advanced Open Water Diver. Certified divers can join guided dives at local sites including Malepasso, Il canyon fantasma and Il cimitero delle ancore.

Families and snorkelers are welcome too, with excursions along the coast and its suggestive sulfur caves. Facilities cover a retail shop, dive boat, equipment rental, air fills, free Wi-Fi and parking, with staff speaking English and Italian.
