Plan this trip with AI →Y-40® The Deep Joy is a place unlike any other in the diving world: the deepest thermal water pool ever built, conceived and designed by Italian architect Emanuele Boaretto. It plunges to a record depth of 42.15m — more than a 13-storey building — while the bromine-iodine thermal water stays at a comfortable 32–34°C, warm enough to dive without a wetsuit. A transparent 13m suspended tunnel and platforms set at depths from -1.3m all the way to -42.15m make it a training ground with no equal.
As a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort with 30 PADI instructors, Y-40 offers PADI Scuba Diving, Freediving and Mermaid programmes, plus 60 metres of purpose-built underwater caves for speleo-diving courses from the first levels through to professional training. It's ideal for divers and freedivers at every stage who want controlled, warm-water conditions.
On-site you'll find a training pool, classroom, retail shop, accommodation, food and drink, free Wi-Fi and equipment rental. Staff speak English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
