YBD Dive Centre

Set on the Perhentian Islands in Malaysia, YBD Dive Centre is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort backed by six PADI Instructors and world-class facilities. From guided dive excursions to professional certification courses, its experienced instructors and guides aim to make every diver's time in the water smooth and enjoyable, whatever their level.

Courses, sites and who it suits

The centre runs 16 courses and activities, spanning first-timers and progressing divers alike. A Pool Try Dive needs no experience and starts from USD 89, while options such as Try Scuba, a Scuba Refresher, Fun Dives, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and an emergency-response course round out the line-up. That mix makes YBD a comfortable fit for newcomers, holidaymakers wanting a single dive, and certified divers looking to refresh or build skills.

Local dive sites include Shark Point, Batu Nisan Rock, Batu Nisan, D'Lagoon and Batu Layar, with marine life ranging from sharks, turtles and rays to eels, molluscs, corals and reef fish. On-site you'll find a training pool, classroom, house reef, dive boat, retail shop, free Wi-Fi and accommodation. Staff speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
