Plan this trip with AI →The Aldebaran runs year-round dive safaris in the Red Sea, Egypt, tracing some of the country's most celebrated southern routes. From its Hurghada base it reaches legendary sites including St. John's, the Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone, with Ras Mohammed, Zabargad and the walls of the far south rounding out the itinerary.
At Ras Mohammed, dramatic walls come alive with soft and fan corals and are patrolled by huge shoals of fish — a fitting introduction to the reefs, drop-offs and open-water encounters these southern regions are known for. A typical eight-night safari offers three to four dives daily, including a night dive where conditions allow, for roughly 16 dives in total.
Back on board, the 35-metre vessel hosts up to 20 guests across 12 en-suite cabins, with a nearly 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio. Air-conditioned cabins and saloon, warm-water showers, a sun deck, observation deck and leisure deck bar keep things comfortable between dives, while freshly cooked Egyptian and Western meals, free internet and an entertainment system and library round out life at sea. Nitrox and DIN adaptors are available for divers.

This reef is surrounded by a sheer wall and strong currents allowing for fantastic drift diving. It offers some of the most amazing dives in the Red Sea. The sheer walls are covered in over-grown hard coral formations and a variety of reef fish. Napoleon wrasses and turtles are often cruising by.
