★ 5 · Lucy Sherley · 2024-11-27Highly recommend this trip for groups of friends, couples or single travellers. We had a fantastic diving and Komodo dragon trip on this liveaboard. The crew are superb, friendly and professional and a joy to be around. The diving is world class and is planned to ensure safety and the best diver experience paying attention to optimum timing of tides/currents etc. The reefs are stunning with amazing macro diversity as well as megafauna- mantas, sharks and turtles which were enjoyed by divers and snorkelled alike. The dive guides have exceptional knowledge about the local marine life. The boat is spacious with very comfortable rooms and the food is exceptional. Thank you Komodo Sea Dragon.
★ 5 · Robyn Hanson · 2024-09-09My wife and I were on the Komodo Sea Dragon live aboard boat for an 7-night scuba diving trip - managed by the Komodo Resort & Diving Club. We had a great time! The crew was professional and fun, the food was very good, and the service was very attentive. Jello, the director/main guide, gave a detailed and thorough dive prep. Bennie was our guide every day. He is one of the best guides we have ever experienced. He has a steady dive pace and can spot everything down to the microscopic level. The boat staff, Allan, Bonnie and MAMA the chef were fantastic and took special care in providing vegetarian meals and side option at every meal. One very important feature when diving with the KSD is that an additional dive boat accompanies the KSD (the KSD is houses the kitchen, dining room, cabins, bathrooms and common areas). Called Putra, the additional boat is about 30-feet in length with a dive platform for giant stride entrance, is covered, has gear stations, camera tank, has fresh water shower, and an upper deck for relaxing after the dive. Note: Most other scuba dive operations in Komodo have only a small skiff to which divers will carry your equipment onto the skiff, hold your gear between your legs, gear up while sitting, back roll into the water, and use a small side ladder to re-enter the skiff. Not the way to go. You will love diving with Komodo!
★ 5 · Dave Oosterhuis · 2024-02-17The reefs are in pristine shape and the crew takes pride in maximizing the diving experience. Jello is the dive instructor and did a superb job of helping me obtain my Advanced Open Water designation. Engel and Ronnie are wonderful dive masters and the entire crew is very helpful and safety conscious. I highly recommend the Komodo Sea Dragon
