★ 5 · Sameer Oundhakar · 2024-04-23Wonderful experience diving at Farasan Banks with MY Andromeda. Getting to Saudi is straightforward with tourist visas available online. Arrival at Jeddah airport went smoothly. We were lucky that there were only 6 of us on the liveaboard and we made good friends by the time we left. The boat itself is comfortable and in good condition. All the crew including the dive guides and the boat crew were very helpful and made our stay and diving very comfortable. Special thanks to Sabri, our dive guide! Diving in Farasan banks was fantastic. The dive sites were pristine and we were the only boat on site most of the days. The dive sites were varied, the corals were in good condition and the fish life was abundant. Most dives were on the edges of plateaus near drop offs. Diving conditions were good and while most dives were around 30 meters, the diving conditions weren't that difficult. Booking through PADI travel was smooth and they were helpful in resolving some hiccups that came up. Special thanks to Íasamar for managing our entire trip. In short, diving at the Farasan Banks with MY Andromeda is highly recommended!
