    Day 1

Day One : Ambon Well-known as one of the best spots for dive aficionados, Ambon harbor is a long, deep harbor surrounded on both sides by steep, verdant volcanic slopes. A true sense of history overcomes one; imagining the great seafarers like Magellan, Cook and others sailing down the same bay’s mouth. One gets the impression that the area cannot have changed much since the days of these great explorers. The first dive site is under a pier close to the Ambon airport and has the boasting rights of being able to call itself the first great muck site in the world; this is normally where one can get a glimpse of the rare Ambon scorpion fish. Also on offer is a pristine wreck covered with hard and soft corals, lots of fish and resting upright in relatively shallow water. Please Note: This is a sample itinerary and nº of dives, dive sites, etc. may be subject to change due to weather conditions and other unforseeable factors

Dominated by a 2500-foot active volcano, for more than three hundred years these tiny islands were the centre of wealth for the Dutch colonies. The diving is also well-known for its good reef dives on the east and north sides of the islands. Here not only marine life treasures such as pipe fish of all varieties, frog fish of many varieties and color variations, and a plethora of juvenile fish seeking sanctuary in the calm waters, but also the least bashful and largest mandarin fish ever! These colorful gems are out of their hiding places all day and are in such shallow water that they can be seen from the pier. Several famous dive sites are Suangi Island, Lava Flow Banda, Batu Kapal, Next Village as well as dive spot next to the Banda Harbour. Besides, we have an opportunity for trekking to Gunung Api. Diving near Ambon Diving is mainly done in the Amboyna Bay and you come here basically for the great muck-diving. Be prepared for some interesting critters and amazing behavior! Rhinopias scorpionfishes, frogfishes, seahorses, stonefishes, ghostpipefishes, pegasus sea moths, mandarin fishes, nudibranchs, harlequin and coleman shrimps, kauris, wonderpus, mimic and flamboyant cuttlefish. This is also the area where the famous psychedelic frogfish (Histiophryne psychedelica) was found.

    Day 3

4 dive per day in the Ring of fire Spectacular diving with schools of hammerhead sharks. The main highlight of Ring of Fire dive trip. Hammerhead sightings are common around the Banda Sea. The sharks can usually be found between 15 to 35 metres, but smaller schools and lone hammerheads can be seen at much shallower depths, around three to five metres. Expect to see a few hundreds and at times even thousands of them cruising near the walls Dive sites Pantar is the second largest island in the Alor archipelago. Here we can visit some village where both Christians and Muslims live together. Undescribed octopus and rare scorpionfish and lionfish awaits you southeast of Pantar by the black sand beach. Clear water, fish-filled walls and diving beneath Komba’s active volcano round out this great dive spots. Manawoka is for the pelagic species. Some of the largest shoals of barracuda can be seen here, all alongside manta rays and giant groupers. The strong currents attract blacktip reef sharks, while hammerhead sharks have also been spotted lurking in the area. The coral gardens at Nusa Laut are some of the prettiest, with lush greens and turquoise vases. It is absolutely worth bringing along a torch to shine out all the vibrant colours and inspect tucked-away corners. Shoals of anthias are joined by surgeonfish and the occasional pipefish. Scorpionfish are somewhere slightly sheltered, while barracuda patrol the skirts of the reef. This is another very healthy site that attracts hammerheads. Palu Island has black sands all around stunning patch corals, with shoals of fusiliers and pyramid butterflyfish hovering above. Batfish and eagle rays stay close to the sand while oceanic whitetip reef sharks patrol the spaces in between. Manuk, another volcano rising from the Banda Sea is situated far into open sea. Darwin might have run its research on evolution here as well. Despite lower biodiversity on land, the walls below the see are amazing. The night dive surprises many with shrimp and crabs. Especially the shy Saron shrimp can be observed frequently. Sharks, sea snakes, mackerels, tunas and barracudas are seen in the blue

The Banda island are so remote, that the overwhelming majority of sites have never even seen a diver. It is safe to say that diving here feels like a real adventure Enjoy seeing rare Weedy, Bumphead parrotfish, Jacks (Big-eye trevallies), Giant trevallies, Spanish mackerel, schooling barracuda, hammerhead sharks, salt water crocodile, and whale shark! The dive sites around the islands are among some of the most beautiful sites of all Indonesia. Waters are clear, reefs are of great variety and beauty, and drop offs are spectacular. One of the main objectives of this voyage are encounters with those big fish: schools of tunas and jacks, barracudas, Spanish mackerels, but also different shark species – grey reef, silky, silvertip, thresher, and the occasional tiger shark has been spotted 4 dives per day for few days around Banda island
