About Supraba

The Supraba is a traditional Indonesian phinisi-style vessel, hand-built in 2020 and stretching 33.72 meters. Cruising at 8 knots, she carries just 12 guests across 6 ensuite cabins, keeping the atmosphere intimate as she sails the legendary waters of Komodo National Park from Labuan Bajo.

Diving the heart of Komodo

Over 8 nights and roughly 24 dives, the route strings together some of Indonesia's most iconic sites, from the fast, exhilarating currents of Castle Rock and Crystal Rock to Batu Bolong, Golden Passage, and Manta Point. Expect vivid coral reefs, big-fish action, and drift dives that reward divers with at least 10 logged dives. Beyond the water, guests trek to panoramic viewpoints and come face to face with the famous Komodo dragons on Padar and Komodo Island.

Back on board, comfort is easy: air-conditioned cabins with private bathrooms and warm-water showers, an air-conditioned saloon, sun and leisure decks, kayaks, a library, and a bar. The Supraba is also snorkeler-friendly, making it a welcoming choice for mixed groups.

Suanggi Suanggi is surrounded by the Abyss. This rock is the visible part of a large plateau, which drops into the deep ocean of the Banda Sea. This spot is ideal for diving with hammerhead sharks, oceanic sunfish, and even thresher sharks. There are a lot of Bluefin Trevallies and Napoleons around.

  3. 3
    Day 3

Manuk Located on a night of navigation of the Banda Islands, Manuk offers a very special atmosphere with its sulfur fumes, and thousands of seabirds. From the activity of its volcano, underwater bubbles can be observed by divers. Emerging from the abyssal seabed of the Banda Sea, the island’s tortured reefs are an annual pilgrimage hotspot for the seasonal schools of hammerhead sharks. You hold your breath when you’re surrounded by a hundred hammerheads. It’s an intense experience. Hundreds of sea snakes (Laticauda Semifasciata), attracted by the heat of its slopes, have also taken up residence. We will dive into the sites of Coconut Corner, Snake’s Nest, and the mythical Long Ridge.

  4. 4
    Day 4

Karang Hatta & Hatta Island Karang Hatta is a large submerged reef located two nautical miles south of Hatta Island. Rising on the underwater plateau of the Banda Islands, its walls fall vertically to 300 meters deep, before sinking into the abyss. We will once again try to dive with the schools of hammerhead sharks while enjoying the regular passage of big dogtooth tuna, mackerel, schools of big-eye jacks, humpback parrots, and barracudas… A short navigation will allow us to reach one of the best dive sites of the Banda Islands. The Curve or Tanjung Button is another Hammerhead shark viewing hotspot in Indonesia. Currents can be fierce and require careful planning.

Bandaneira 30 minutes from the port of Bandaneira, Batu Kapal is the most famous site of the Banda Islands. This rock in the shape of a container conceals a wide plateau with 3 pinnacles underwater. Giant groupers and barracudas mingle with bannerfish and blue ballists in a real fairy tale. Pohon Miring and its incredible tunnel attract many Napoleons and jacks. In the early afternoon, an excursion to the island of Bandaneira will be organized to visit the market, the old Dutch fort, and the spice plantations.

    Day 6

Koon Island Welcome to Too Many Fish. This sandy slope protected by WWF is known to be a breeding ground for groupers. It attracts many schools of fish, whose species diversity is similar to the Raja Ampat. Choosing the dive sites according to the currents, we will jump alternately on the wall or directly on its sandy tip. Two dives only, then crossing for 20 hours to reach Misool.

  7. 7

In the afternoon, our third dive of the day is one of our personal favorites: Gorgonian Passage, also named Neptune's Fan Sea, and its thousands of huge soft corals. Usually, a nice drift dive. We end the day with the big Misool highlight, the Heart Shaped Lagoon.
