Atoll Scuba

Atoll Scuba began in 2003 as Sandy Dive Centre, founded by a local islander whose love for the ocean shaped everything that followed. What started as a small dream on the shores of Kavaratti has grown into two decades of teaching, exploring, and protecting the marine world — a spirit that still drives the centre today under its renewed identity.

Courses and the lagoon

As a PADI Resort with 3 PADI instructors, Atoll Scuba welcomes new divers, seasoned explorers, families, and adventure seekers alike. Options range from PADI beginner and professional courses to fun dives and Discover Scuba Diving, plus PADI Freediving, Snorkelling and First Aid (EFR). Prefer to stay above the surface? The lagoon can also be enjoyed through snorkelling, kayaking, jet ski rides, or a glass-bottom boat tour.

Set at the northern tip of Sandy Beach with a 240-degree sweep of blue water, the centre has a house reef and its own dive boat reaching sites such as Wall of Wonder. Marine life includes sharks, whales, turtles, rays, ocean fish, eels, molluscs, corals and more. With five languages spoken, it suits curious ocean lovers of every kind.
