Bond Safari Kovalam brings together experienced Indian businessmen and Spain's Cool Divers SL, with a stated goal of developing state-of-the-art adventure tourism products in India. The result is a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort on the Kerala coast, staffed by 14 PADI Instructors working in English, Hindi and other languages.

Courses and dive sites

Newcomers can start with PADI Discover Scuba Diving, a roughly four-hour introduction from USD 76, then continue into PADI Scuba Diver over about two days. Certified divers have room to specialise with PADI Drift Diver and PADI Enriched Air Diver, while EFR – Emergency First Response covers first aid skills. There's also a Half-Day Dive Trip for those who simply want water time, and Dive Against Debris for divers who want their time underwater to count for something.

Local diving takes in Kovalam Beach, Halcyon, Katana, Kovalam Leo Rock and Puffer Paradise, with a wreck among the options. The marine life list runs from ocean fish, molluscs and crustaceans to corals, anemones and jellyfish, eels and echinoderms, turtles, sharks and whales.
