Coral Divers

Tucked into Sodwana Bay on South Africa's coast, Coral Divers is a PADI 5 Star CDC (Career Development Center) and resort that's been part of the local diving scene since the early '90s — the longest-running dive concession in the bay, and the only dive resort and dive centre set inside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. With 10 PADI instructors on the team, it's built to take divers from their first breath underwater to professional level.

Courses and diving

The centre offers the full range of PADI recreational scuba courses alongside pro-level training, supported by an onsite training pool and classroom. Its Dive Internship has been running for over 20 years and is regarded as one of the best in Southern Africa. Offshore, Sodwana Bay's unspoiled tropical coral reefs teem with Indo-Pacific life — sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans among them.

A professional dive charter, equipment sales and rental, air fills and nitrox round out the operation, making it a natural fit for newcomers and aspiring dive professionals alike.
