About Deep Blue Diving

Deep Blue Diving was the first PADI Gold Palm Resort in Playas del Coco, and since 1998 it has been introducing divers to the underwater world of Costa Rica. A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with three PADI Instructors, it's known for professional staff and a personal touch on every diving experience.

Dive sites and courses

Most of the Papagayo dive sites sit just a short boat ride from Playa Hermosa and suit all levels, from beginners to advanced divers. For more experienced divers, the centre runs tours to the Catalina Islands and Islas Murciélagos (Bat Islands). Training covers PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Snorkelling and PADI First Aid (EFR).

On site you'll find a training pool, classroom, retail shop, dive boat and accommodation, plus Wi-Fi, parking and an Adaptive Services Facility. The team also handles air fills, Nitrox, equipment sales and rental. Staff speak English, Spanish, French and German, making it a welcoming choice for visiting divers of every background.

We did 2 trips with the clib, the first 2 tank dive was in the Playas del Cocos area : El Virador and Argentina. Then we booked another trip with them to Catalina Island. The staff is pro and fun. The dives are nice. Get prepared to see different rays, morays and super friendly white tip sharks. There can be some strong current over there, get prepared to kick. There is plenty of options to dive in Guanacaste area, Deep Blue is definitely one I would recommend : they prepare the gear for you on the boat, then wash and store it away if you plan to dive again with them. The club is own by a german couple, everything is in good condition, gear is in good shape and the pineapple on the boat is to die for ! :-) I hope it hleps.
