Gomantak Scuba

Gomantak Scuba has been diving Malvan's waters since 2008, and the Gomantak Group brings more than 9 years of experience to reading what each diver actually needs. The approach is deliberately small-scale: local guides, small groups, and personalised attention rather than a conveyor belt. As the team puts it, you arrive as a customer and leave as a friend.

Courses and diving

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with a PADI Instructor on staff, the centre runs PADI Scuba Diving and PADI Snorkelling programmes alongside PADI First Aid – EFR. Nine years of teaching in India sit behind that, and equipment maintenance and servicing are treated as a high priority — top-brand kit, kept serviced, for comfort and safety in the water.

The local dive sites are Nivati Rock and Light House, where the marine life spans ocean fish, sharks and rays, turtles, whales, eels and echinoderms, molluscs and crustaceans, and corals, anemones and jellyfish.

The waterfront base has an onsite classroom, dive boat, onsite accommodation, food and drinks, free Wi-Fi and parking, with air fills and rental gear including kids' sizes. English and Hindi are spoken, and doors open 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM daily. It suits weekend divers around Malvan as much as anyone learning from scratch.
