MTDC's Indian Institute of Scuba Diving & Aquatic

Perched next to Tarkarli Beach in Malvan, MTDC's Indian Institute of Scuba Diving and Aquatic Sports (IISDA) bills itself as India's first integrated scuba diving school, with a breathtaking view over the Arabian Sea. Courses and diving

Learning happens in a dedicated onsite training pool with a maximum depth of 25 ft, backed by air-conditioned classrooms fitted with a modern audio-visual system. Offerings span PADI scuba diving, PADI snorkelling, PADI First Aid – EFR and conservation activities, with English and Hindi both spoken.

Beyond the pool, the rocky islands of the Sindhudurg coast open up some of the best diving on India's western shore, including the dive site marked NIVATI ROCK LIGHT HOUSE. Divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, molluscs, crustaceans, corals, anemones and more. With a seaview resort, poolside Rest O Bar, beach volleyball and a tennis court, IISDA suits anyone who wants to learn, dive and unwind in one place.
