Poseidon Diving Station, Ltd.

Operating in the waters around Sri Lanka since 1973, Poseidon Diving Station has spent over 40 years building a reputation for safety, professionalism and friendliness. This PADI 5 Star IDC centre in Hikkaduwa is staffed by 10 PADI instructors and welcomes everyone from first-timers to those chasing a professional rating.

Courses and diving

PADI Open Water Diver courses start every day, while Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver and other courses run on demand. Newcomers can ease in with PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 97, and certified divers can join a single trip of two dives from USD 84 or commit to the 10 Dives Package. Course materials are available in a wide range of languages, with English and Russian spoken at the centre.

Guided trips visit local sites including S S Conch, Earl of Shaftesbury, Black Coral Point, Kirala Gala, Goda Gala and Silva Point, where divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. On-site facilities include a classroom, house reef, dive boat, accommodation, Wi-Fi, food and drinks, plus Nitrox and a dive club.
