Learning to dive on Havelock Island

Established in 2025, Scubadivein is a fully equipped PADI dive centre on Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), India, with an equipment store, filling station, library and classroom under one roof. The waterfront location comes with its own house reef and dive boat, plus air fills, nitrox, and a full range of rental gear from wetsuits and regulators to dive computers and cameras.

The centre's primary emphasis is comprehensive Open Water certification, and the course list carries you well beyond it — PADI Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Deep Diver all sit on the schedule, with the 30-day PADI Divemaster waiting for anyone ready to go professional. Half-day dive trips start from USD 92 for divers who simply want to get wet.

Local diving takes in The Wall, Pilot Reef, Slope, Nemo Reef, Turtle Beach, Red Light House and Tribe Gate, across reefs busy with turtles, sharks and rays, eels, molluscs, corals and anemones. With three PADI instructors covering six languages — English, Spanish, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi — and doors open 6am to 6pm every day, it suits first-timers and career-track divers alike.
