South Coast Diving Co

South Coast Dive Co is a professional dive center in Margate, South Africa, built around a clear purpose: training the next generation of instructors in a challenging, shark-rich marine environment. As a PADI 5 Star IDC with two PADI instructors, the center pairs high technical standards with strong principles of conservation, safety, and education — led by one of the world's few female PADI Course Directors.

Courses and diving

The programme spans every level, from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver through to Adventure Diver, Scuba Diver, and the ReActivate refresher. Divers can gear up to meet sharks on Protea Banks or join a Half-Day Dive Trip, with enriched air (Nitrox) available for those who want more time underwater. The surrounding waters are home to sharks, whales, turtles, rays, and ocean fish.

On site you'll find a training pool, classroom, retail shop, dive boat, accommodation, food and drinks, and free Wi-Fi. Staff speak English, German, and Swedish, and courses and dives start from USD 38 — making it a natural fit for new divers and aspiring pros alike.
